Here are a few of our teachers

Josh Bauman - Guitar/Bass

Twenty plus years playing experience with study in jazz, classical, country, latin and rock. Along with playing for several prominant St. Louis cover bands, Josh has played with national act Lye by Mistake, performing over 200 shows in the U.S. and Canada. Josh's instruction consists of a combination of music theory, sight reading and learning your favorite songs with a focus on catering to these elements to suit the students individual needs and interests.

CJ Benz - Guitar/Bass

Bands:

I like to teach in a style similar to the Suzuki method. I want my students to have fun at their lesson, and at the same time, get great results from their practice and lesson time. I frequently talk to my students about their goals, and from there I create a personally tailored lesson plan. I believe music is a skill that can be developed, and I do all that I can to help my students meet and exceed their goals!

In my 13 years of experience on Saxophone, I have taught private lessons, beginning band classes, and have been a clinician for high school bands. I am currently finishing my degree in Instrumental Music Education k-12 at Lindenwood University. I have worked with many different methods, but I am the most familiar with Standards of Excellence, as well as the Rubank Woowind Series, so I prefer to use those. My focus is on a standards-based format, in order to give true benchmarks to the student’s progress.
