Lesson Policies

Lesson times:

  • Lessons are divided into 30 minute segments. There is no limit on how many lessons the student may take.
  • Please be aware that when signing-up for lessons, you are reserving that time-slot for that day of the week. Please be prompt and on-time when attending lessons, as there will be students after your time.
  • If the student is going to be late, we ask the student please call ahead of time to let us know. If the student does not call or is over 10 minutes late, the teacher has the option to stay or leave for the remainder of the lesson.

There are two levels of Teachers:

  • Beginner – Learns mostly core techniques, some easy songs, and beginner music theory. Some teachers are genre specific, if requested.
  • Intermediate – Learns most if not all techniques, multiple songs, and intermediate music theory. Some teachers are genre specific, if requested.
  • The student can choose any teacher that he or she wants that is qualified for their skill level.
Make-up/ Vacations:
  • We allow for one unpaid week during the summer months of June, July, and August. Other than that, we do not allow vacation days.
  • If the student is too sick to attend school, we recommend that they do not show up to lessons that day. We advise the same to our teachers.
  • If the studio must close for the day, the lesson coordinator will contact the student.
  • If the student must miss, they may reschedule at the discretion of the teacher. The student must notify LS 24 hours before their lesson. If it is less than 24 hours, there is less likelihood that the student will be able to reschedule. If the student does not show up and there is no reschedule, it will result in a forfeit of payment for that week's lesson.
  • If a teacher misses, the teacher will try to schedule a make-up lesson through the lesson coordinator. The student will be notified as early as possible if a teacher cannot make it in. It is the teacher's obligation to do a make-up lesson.
Payment:
  • Lesson payment must be received during the first week of lessons for that month. Failure to pay by the end of the first week will result in a late fee. If payment is not received by the 15th of the month, the student may be taken off the schedule.
  • Lesson payment must cover all the lessons for that month in order to preserve your lesson time.
